In June 2024, Leslie McPeak went from walking normally to being in a wheelchair, a result of severe pinching of her spinal cord in her upper back. Thoracic laminectomy surgery restored her movement, and today she's grateful to be back at her job as the music director of Haymore Baptist Church.
