Karen Powell was one of the first patients to receive the Barostim heart procedure at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Since receiving the implant, she has the energy and strength to enjoy spending time with her husband, Morris, and their dog, Jasmine. “I just feel 100% better than I did before the procedure,” she said.
