A breast cancer survivor’s prayers are answered
Shannon Dickson had wanted another child, but worried cancer had made that impossible.
Shannon Dickson and her husband, Michael, welcomed their fourth child, Scotlynn, into the world on April 3. Dickson is a breast cancer survivor who endured cancer treatments in 2023 for stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. Scotlynn is the answer to the family's prayers. "I feel our cancer journey changed us for the better, and we're living that out now. Living with gratitude is our default," Dickson said. Photo by Ana Moreland
